The Separation between State and Religion

In time we will realize that Democracy is the entitlement of individuals to every right that was in its times alloted to kings. The right to speak and decide, to be treated with decency, to serve and be served by people in a State of “love” that is, to serve with one’s work for the development of ‘life’. To belong to the Kingdom of Human Beings without racial, national, social or academic separations. To love and be loved. To die at the service of the whole and be honored in one’s death, for one’s life and work was legitimately valued. To be graceful and grateful. To have the pride and the humility of being One with the Universe, One with every realm of Existence, One with every living and deceased soul. To treat with dignity and be treated with dignity for One is dignified together with All others and Life itself. To walk the path of compassion, not in the sorrow of guilt but in the pride of being. To take responsability for one’s mistakes and sufferings and stand up again and again like a hero and a heroine and face the struggle that is put at one’s feet and in one’s hands. Millions of people, millions and millions of people might take many generations to realize the consciousness of our humaneness but there is no other dignified path for the human being.

The “work” as I conceive it is psychological and political. Psychology is the connection between the different dimensions within one’s self and Politics is the actualization of that consciousness in our practical lives. Religion is the ceremony that binds the connectedness between the individual and the Universe. The separation between religion, politics and science, the arts and sports is, in the sphere of the social, the reflection of the schizophrenia within the individual and the masses. The dialogue between individuality and the "human" belongs to consciousness. The tendency to develop cults resides in the shortcomings we’are finding in life as it is structured today. “Life” has become the private property of a few priviledged who cannot profit from it because as soon as it is appropriated it stops to be “life” or “life-giving”.

We are all the victims of our own invention and each one is called upon to find solutions. The only problem is believing our selves incapable of finding them. We are now free to use all Systems of knowledge objectively, sharing them without imposing our will on each other. To become objective about our lives means to understand that the institutions that govern its experience are critically important. That we are one with the governments, one with the religious activities that mark its pace, that the arena’s in which we move our bodies and the laboratories in which we explore our possibilities are ALL part and parcel of our own personal responsibility. That WE ARE ONE WITH EACH OTHER AND EVERYTHING AROUND US and acknowledge for ourselves a bond of love in conscious responsibility. That we human beings know ourselves part of each other and are willing and able to act on our behalf for the benefit of each and every individual. That we no longer allow governments, industries, universities or any other institution to run along unchecked by the objective principles of humaneness. That we do not allow gurus to abuse their power or governors to steal the taxes and use them to their personal advantage in detriment of the whole. That we do not allow abuse from anyone anywhere because life is too beautiful to do so and that we are willing to stop the rampant crime with the necessary compassion Conscious knowledge is every individual's right. Conscious action is every individual's duty.

Objective-subjective elena!

Hi Black One,

Could you consider the possibility that subjective is within objective? Just like “myself” is in the “universe” and the "universe" within my self? That one does not stand confronting the other but in a permanent dialogue with the other? That the “feet on the ground” is nothing else but the I-keel connected to the Universe?

“Let the universe open itself to us”? Can you see the dichotomy you experience between the inner and external world as if they opposed each other and the attitude that IT should open itself to us?  What about “I” being the key to open to the Universe? I, present both in and out? With the feet on the ground and the head in the sky connecting matter and spirituality in a wholesome reality?

Indeed the Fellowship labelled itself objective and us subjective to undermine everything we did and increase our submission but that doesn’t take any value from objective or subjective realities.

In fact is it not interesting that we became objective slaves of the Fellowship life-style and increasingly subjective of objective reality with it? If a community has such power to make pimps and whores of each of its members in such a short time can you feel the objective power of Community?

For example you say that you’re more levelled now because of your courses but I in fact think that what is helping you is having a community to dialogue with. It gives life to your inner world, references you and balances you while holding you within certain framework. If you could totally hold to the Fellowship blog framework you wouldn’t come here but you realize that there’s something missing there that is equally valid and are malleable enough, not crystallized enough to allow yourself to move from one to the other without experiencing the constraints, which is not my case or that of many others.  It’s fascinating how some “lose ends” make the connections easier and the disconnectedness more pronounced!

The news that you’re taking less medicine is the best thing I’ve heard you say since I met you. I find that wonderful!  Congratulations my love! Being the master of your passion is the key to the mystery even if we take years just to put the key in the keyhole!

You mention in your other post:

I do not 'poem plaster', call myself the Absolute, man number 8, angel number 45 etc.(Ames chided me for stating I was a Celtic Super-Hero!) See, the thing is, I am happy as myself - wee nigey - with my friends, my students and my loving family. You may also like to know that, when I looked up the definition of my name, it said - dim. black - I thought "Ah, yes! Stupid and dark." Silly me!

This feeling of being the Absolute, man number 8, angel number 45 and then falling into the stupid and dark silly me don’t seem to you as two extremes of the same spectrum? As if when we are in our bipolarity, great ideas and understanding made us feel heroes, Joan of Arcs, Celtic Warriors etc and then in our inability to connect practically with the world we live in, rendered the stupid, dark, silly me an equally powerful reality?  Lately I’m having less of those extreme spells although there are extremes in other areas  but they seemed to come more often when I was emotionally dependent on the people on the other blog. They also seem to relate to actual social issues but then in personal relationships the stupid, silly me is as active as in the social relationships but not the Joan of Arc. No, not the Joan of Arc but yes, another one just as intense is there, a five year old with her arms stretched out!

It’s so good to talk about these things, look at them, juggle them out and deal with them without fear! Good Black one! we’ve got a huge field to run around on! As they use to say in the System, why bother with T.V when one is a complete theatre of one’s own?

I’m so glad you process these things  and answer quickly!  Speed is also an aspect of light!!! See you soon!...I hope!

  1. Hi Elena

Slowing down a bit in my posting on Discussion and Battlesword today. Slightly tired - but mainly spending time on visuals for our exhibition in November (and some business cards for the nice lady who cuts my hair - in her own home, which would match REB's Galleria for alchemy - she keeps it clean all on her own, whilst managing two teenage kids by herself! - I call that will).

Had some thoughts about 'higher' being in 'lower' - my spiritual healer and holistic therapist mentioned the Seal of Solomon - how it means, as Gurdjieff stated, 'as above, so below', but more as Heaven meeting Earth. She herself is down-to-earth practical, yet also ethereal and fey. I have told you how she says it is best for me, when my mood soars, to have physical and, sometimes, routinely boring, things to do (as do my doctors - my consultant psychiatrist is someone, as have been his forerunners, that I only trust for technical information about my meds, since I cannot see how he has the gall to use his salary to take frequent trips around the world to see his extensive Indian family!).

Presence has its place in all our states, all our wordly dealings, all our spiritual aspirations and searchings and, indeed, all that our being experiences. Burton makes the mistake of elitism, insularity and the whole 'cult ethos' soaking up and parasitically digesting all manner of, what he calls 'higher impressions' - yet he is only getting high on these impressions, perverted sex, power and a myriad of other experiences and substances and stuffing them down the throat of the black hole of his mindless, personal greed and dominance.....LBO
